Influenza, or the seasonal flu, is characterized by:

Cough
Congestion
Aches and pains
Fever
Exhaustion

Where, the "stomach flu" is a completely different virus and is characterized by:

Vomiting
Diarrhea
Stomach pain and cramping
Occasionally fever

Either way, it's miserable......
