I realize this is kind of obvious and so isn't the ideal answer, but have you tried calling and/or writing the restaurant to see who their supplier is? Or, if it's simply a doctored peanut butter, maybe they'd be willing to share their recipe? Many restaurants are fairly generous with that sort of info if you ask nicely...

What makes this peanut butter different/better and worth seeking out, anyway? I'm curious. The peanut butter at Trader Joe's (as someone suggested) certainly isn't anything special, but it is "natural" style, if that's what you're after.

This book: "Trader Vic's Tiki Party!: Cocktails & Food to Share with Friends" has a recipe for "Peanut Butter Sauce" but it doesn't sound like that's what you're after.
