Just got a RAZR V3 from Verizon. What is the small adapter for?

It converts the phone usb jack to a small pin style jack, but it's too small for a standard earpiece or headphones...what's it for?

I have one from verison, too....but they gypped me on the small adapter....I didn't get one. Sorry I couldn't help.
