Been a rough few days here in Missouri. Started with heavy rain for about 18 hours followed by freezing rain then sleet and topped off with about 3 inches of snow. Current temperature about 15 degrees. On wednesday the temperature was 70 degrees now friday night every thing is frozen solid.

We had the same here in IL. Never heard thunder in winter before. We ended up with 9 inches of snow, power out, school closed. It was 67 on Wed. and right now it is 12. Started with rain , then freezing rain turning to snow.

Actually not as weird as you'd think. All has to do with El Nino which usually screws up the weather patterns by heating up the pacific ocean near south america. This is also why the hurricane forecast was messed up this year; they over predicted. But anyway, I'm Oklahoma City and we've had 2 inches of ice and 4 inches of snow in the last two days.

Weird to say the least! This was one heckuva storm. I am in N.E. Oklahoma, where on Wednesday at noon, it was 78 degrees, windy. Then here, we had 5 nonstop hours of heavy rain, turning to sleet, then finally snow, all on Wednesday night.
Snowed all day here Thursday, until very late into the night.
We here have 10 in. snow, and 5 in. rain. And right now, it's 19 degrees.
:Yeah, weird, and memorable.

I know what you mean. I'm from the mid-south and it was in the 60's yesterday. It rain off and on then it turned extremely cold. I did get to see a little snow last night but it didn't last long. I'm a night owl or I wouldn't have got to see what little snow flakes we had. I love the snow.

My temperature is like 40-60 F. The east winds and the west winds are mixing together, but luckily, NO TORNADO. I still never got snow. I did get rain and thunder. Yup. It's weird.

Sounds like Colorado. We had 63 degree weather and then snow. Someone told me when I moved here that if the temperature got really hot then it was going to snow shortly after that and the funny thing is...it does every time!

You took my warm weather!!!! It was 62 here before I got home around 7. Went back out a few minutes ago and it's cold. I guess the warm front is moving north. Enjoy it!!

It snowed like a b---- overnight!! Everyone had to dig out and I heard a million stories today at work. I had one too. I had to walk what seemed like a million miles to the end of my driveway to get picked up by the police to be taken to work. (Hospital employees have this honor) I have a windburn on my cheeks just from walking to the highway.
