Keep it turned off -- something is going on with the motor/pump --check inside -- did a spoon get stuck in the drain hole ---something may be causing the motor / pump to be "locked up"--not operating and spraying water ----- ?? Might be time to call a pro, or replace it.

most likely your pump is burnt out don't use it any more. it could catch on fire or cause an electric shock. call the manufacturer if its still under warranty or get a service man to take a look. sometimes repairs cost more than its worth so might need to just get a new one.

Please unplug it and call a qualified electrician or service person immediately, as an electrician I am concerned you could have a grounded electrode that could cause a fire
