There are several things you can do which may inhibit the bacteria from growing. As several others have already mentioned, cranberry capsules prevent the bacteria from adhering to the inner wall of the bladder because they cause the environment to become acidic. Vitamin C will also help aid in this. However, what other people do not mention is the DOSE you need to take in order to improve your symptoms. You will need to get a large bottle of 1000mg capsules of Vitamin C, and at least 1-2 bottles of cranberry capsules. I would strongly recommend that you take 1 Vitamin C capsule per half hour, along with 1 cranberry capsule per hour. Why am I recommending you take so much? The reason for this is that to raise your body's pH level, you need to ingest VERY LARGE quantities of Vitamin C and cranberry concentrate. Otherwise, the vitamins are helpful, but they're not going to make you feel any better because they can't cure your UTI. Vitamin C is NOT harmful in large doses. If you take too much, you may have some symptoms of loose stools, but that's it. If you go to Wikipedia, you can verify that Vitamin C is not harmful in large doses, in case you're worried. I know some people think vitamins can be toxic in large quantities--and some can--but vitamin C can't. Good luck with your UTI. The best remedy is going to a doctor and getting a prescription for an antibiotic course, but if you don't have health insurance or can't afford it, you can try to self treat using the tips I mentioned above. Please note that if your symptoms have not improved or resolved within 2 days, you really should go see a doctor ASAP.

Don't take cranberry juice for a urinary tract infection. It's a good preventative but once you get an infection it does no good.
Take colloidal silver. I've used it for years for urinary tract and other kinds of infections. Make it yourself at home for pennies.
Do a search on your favorite search engine and you will find out a lot about it, also how to make.

I had this problem when I was a child & my doctor had me drink lots of cranberry juice. Any fluids would help flush your urinary tract and I belive cranberry juice has properties that kill off these infections.
I see alot of people mentioned this already. I'd try googling it as well. Good luck!

Craneberry juice is more of a "myth" as far as urinary tract infection is concerned. Modern medicine and research has found some evidence that about 2-3 litre of craneberry juice a day helps relieve some symptoms of UTI, but thats applicable in case of any high volume liquid intake...

I've always heard that cranberry juice is good for urinary tract infections, and in recent years I've seen reports that studies seem to confirm this. My suggestion is to find out (from a doctor's test) just what bug is causing the infection. Your doctor should then prescribe the (holistic or not, get that cleared up!) appropriate medicine. Don't put it off too long. You don't want to damage your insides. Try cranberry juice first, if you like, but look for improvement within the week or get yourself to the doc. I'd much rather bend away from herbal remedies and take penicillin than let my urinary tract stay infected!

Definitely Cranberry Juice, there is an enzyme in the cranberry that heal the urinary tract. You also need to take magnesium, magnesium it a natural way to kill any infectious properties that enter your body. Magnesium also tones whilst healing your internal organs. Give these ago. The most important thing to do if you have a urinary tract infection is NOT to hold on if you need to go to the toilet. Hold on will increase the infection!!!!

Urinary track infection is not related to human papilloma virus, but human papillomavirus and these infections can occur simultaneously. Treatment measures recommended are antibiotics and various alternative medicine cures. They also register blood in the urine. However, in most cases, patients notice such signs as persistent need to urinate and uncomfortable feeling during urination. Sometimes, the disease is masked. Urinary track infection is not related to human papilloma virus, but human papillomavirus and these infections can occur simultaneously.
On first stages of the disease, homeopathic methods can be used, such as Apis mellifica, Aconitum Apellus, Belladonna, Berberis vulgaris, Cantharis and others. Some remedies for urinary tract infection will also have a positive effect on the human papilloma virus and infections causing vaginal discharge.

Oregon Grape tincture helps to prevent the body from getting bacterial infections. It works the same way as taking concentrated amounts of cranberry extract. But if you have one already It will be hard to get rid. There are some doctors or herbalists that would know for sure. Some doctors (few) are starting to recommend herbs.
