Do you have Windows? It comes with an application called Paint (in the Accessories section) that will convert BMPs to JPEGs. Just click Save As, and in the File Type, select JPEG.

open the Bmp (bitmap) file in paint. Then Go to file, Save As, Make a different file name with this at the very end: .jpg
The extension .jpg makes it a JPEG file.
Ex:
Picture001.jpg
