It is E.

A. Sperm are indeed haploid because they are produced through meiosis which cuts the chromosome number in half.

B. The human liver does indeed contain 46 chromosomes as do every other somatic cells in the human body.

C. In asexual reproduction, the parents cells are already haploid and mitosis maintains chromosome number.

D. This I'm pretty sure this is right. Variation caused by accidents in mitosis is present as well as other things like genetic mutations.

D is the correct answer, mitosis produces no variation. All of our somatic cells are all genetically identical. So, organisms that reproduce asexually produce no variation as well.

Sperms are indeed haploid cells (n).
Liver cells are just like any other somatic cell, with 23 pairs of chromosomes (46 total).
Mitosis is how asexual organisms reproduce.

Option C is incorrect. asexual reproduction involves meiosis. its just when the female gamete and male gamete originate from the same organism it is called asexual reproduction. After the formation of a diploid offspring then yes mitosis occurs as the embryo develops.

Also if option C is incorrect then option E is also incorrect. Because when C is incorrect ... the statement 'all of the above are correct' is false.

I would say C is incorrect. In asexual reproduction there would only be a single parent cell not two parent"s"

A. each and every of the eggs that a woman will produce in her lifetime are got here upon frozen in prophase I at delivery. it really is definitely authentic that each and every actually one of the eggs that a woman will produce in her lifetime are contemporary in her ovaries at delivery. although, they don't seem frozen at prophase I. they are in interphase on the instant.
