do you think every car makes, has a connection to one another? Because for ex Toyota and Audi are not the same people, but yet has that same stuff such as stop start button. That goes with the rest of the car makes. You get my grip on what I'm saying lol

I think all the cars in each country have to meet the safety requirements for that country and that is why many features are similar.

Look at how the power windows going up are controlled in new cars. They require a specific motion to keep stupid people from closing it with their head out the window so the government made that rule. That is not coordination among the makers - just following the same rules.

There are a limited number of manufacturers out there making parts, so all the parts are the same with a different name on them. just like most of the parts in your computer or TV are made by one company and sold to all the TV and computer producers for them to use under their name.

They did in the days of Mr. Tucker. I think it was Jeff Bridges who starred in a movie about Mr. Tucker who came out with a very innovative car (ahead of its time in many ways), and the Big Three forced him out. Mr. Tucker did not laugh out loud when this happened.

I think certainparts are only made by certain companies. For example there are really only two companies allowed to make hairspray ansd almost every brand of hair spray are made there
