That’s usually done by browsers not by Windows and in every browser exact steps will be different:

INTERNET EXPLORER:
Options >> Internet Options >> Content (tab) >> Auto complete (button) >>… select options as pleased.

Well sometimes in instant messengers like AIM or Yahoo it offers a save sn and save password feature, but for e-mail you would do the folowing. go to start, control pannel, internet and network connections, internet options then click on the tab that reads "Content", then click on Auto Complete, Check the box that reads "Save Usernames And Passwords On Forms." The next time you enter your sn and password you will be prompted if you would like to save usernames and passwords. click yes and you are all set. hope this helps. brodster,
