He does it jokingly and tries to be funny, and he can be but sometimes its sort of annoying. And its wierd because it's usually me and he...talks a lot to me. I am confused, because I am not dumb in that class.

If it is only funny sometimes, then it isn't appropriate. Your teacher should not be teasing you or making you feel uncomfortable. If it is really bothering you, you should tell your principal or administrator. Good luck to you.

If you are uncomfortable, it's not appropriate. Can you talk to your parents or another family member? If you have a particular friend in the same class, ask her if she or any of the other kids has noticed it: she can back you up when you speak with an adult. You could confront the teacher and tell him you don't like the teasing: it's probably best to do this with the support of an administrator, parent or other adult. He may very well havae a "thing" for you and this is his idea of flirting, but as a teacher he is expected to behave as a professional, not a teenage boy. You should not have to put up with harassment from ANY teacher and he needs to stop. While it may be flattering sometimes, it's a BAD thing for a teacher to do. Remember, also, that it isn't YOUR fault. He's acting inappropriately and HE, not YOU, is responsible for his own behavior, especially in the classroom.

If you're not dumb, he's probably just trying to relate to you and appreciates having an intelligent person in his class. If you're not comfortable with it, don't respond in a way that will encourage him. Don't go to the principal about it like someone else suggested. For one, principals have way bigger issues to deal with, and your particular situation can be dealt with without bringing administration into it. It's not like he's making sexual comments to you, right? If you don't laugh, he'll eventually quit. If he doesn't, talk to him after class about it. I'm sure if he knew it made you uncomfortable that he'd stop. He most likely doesn't realize it bothers you.

Sounds like you may have an over active imagination. Maybe you do not understand what he is saying, and this is your way of reacting to the situation. But if you feel he is teasing you too much then talk to him after class.

He is probably making an example of you because you aren't dumb. Usually teachers don't like to name names, so he's probably trying to make a general statement.

Tell him to keep it professional, not personal, because you are his pupil, nothing more. He has something for you, most likely.
