Good to hear your a big Braves fan too.
The Braves are probably the most respected team in baseball. They had a tough season last year, thanks to the bullpen. (which they will turn around this year, and when they do, it's trouble for all other teams) Other than that, they have a dynamite lineup. The race is to close to call for my favorite player, but I am a big fan of Jeff Francouer, Chipper is a classic all-star, Andrew is the best center fielder in all of baseball, etc...
For all huge Braves fans - when you sing or the National Anthem is being sung, end with this, "O'er the land of the free and the home of the Atlanta Braves."

I like your choices. Some months ago, I included Andruw Jones in an All Time Best Lineup, and I got killed in my answers, for it.
I have been a St. Louis Cardinals fan, since 1967, when I was but a babe in swaddling clothes. The "why" of that is long, but it has to do with loving the game, loving playing the game, and loving listening/watching the game in my head, as Jack Buck and Mike Shannon called the games of the Redbirds. Throughout the Midwest here, in the summertime, radios far and wide were tuned to KMOX, or maybe a local carrier of the games, and it was entertainment, par exellance!
Many other fans along with me will tell you that they felt they were stealing second base, along with Lou Brock, or running down a long flyball in centerfield, along with Reggie Smith, or heck, stabbing a line-drive, along with Ozzie Smith, or closing off the plate to the runner with Ted Simmons. We did all those things thanks to the exciting play by play of Mr. Jack Buck.
We were priviliged to be listening. Then, there were all those times Mike Shannon would have a six pack of Busch downed by the fourth inning, and would begin to sing, or to comment on how nice the moon looked over New York, wishing that all the folks back in St. Louis could see it too.........
Once, at an afternoon game between the Cards and Pittsburgh Pirates, and both teams were out of the pennant race by that point, Jack Buck announced the attendance there as " Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Sweetwater, of someplace, PA, and three bums they pulled in off the streets". I laughed so hard I pissed myself !
I admire Scott Rolen on the Card's team the most. Pujols, too, but I'm an old 3-sacker, myself, so I pick Rolen
Aint Baseball just the very best Game ever??

The Yankees. Been a fan since 1976 (my first full year of watching the games - that's when the fever hit). Still hate the Reds (4 straight - arghhh)!:-(
Matsui is my favorite hitter. Like the man's style. When he first started with the yanks, they had this 50-homer expectation - which I thought was ridiculous! See Japan stats below:
http://japanesebaseball.com/players/player.jsp?PlayerID=163
He's a 300 hitter, hits to all fields, yearly 100-rbi guy, good clubhouse guy, outstanding oufield. In some ways, reminds me of Munson, Mattingly, O'Neil, Williams. He gets you 100 rbis without having to hit 50 homers. I prefer guys in this category, it tells you they are producing more often on a daily basis.
Marino Rivera my favorite pitcher. Don't have to say much about him:-)

I like the Texas Rangers because I grew up in Dallas, Texas, and used to see 3 or 4 games every summer in Arlington. My favorite player is Ivan Rodriguez.

My favorite team are the Cardinals...and it's also because of Mark McGwire...as someone else here said. I remember I was eleven years old when he broke the home run record. Though now I feel differently about him since he used steroids. I still love the Cardinals though, and my favorite players are David Eckstein, Yadier Molina, Albert Pujols, Chris Carpenter, Scott Rolen, and all of them, really.

The Yankees, used to be Sal Fasano but now its gotta be Derek Jeter. The yankees are the best team in baseball and Derek Jeter is the best player.

F*CK yeah Go Braves!
Worship the very ground that Chipper Jones walks on. Well more or less hobbles on, what with all his injuries. But still you can't argue with a guy like Chipper.
It's a shame this year didn't go as well for them this year as in all years in the past.
Here's looking forward to a return to glory next year.
Go Braves!
