You will need to have the minimum requirements that are listed on the box. I had to install some extra ram and stop all of the background tasks including antivirus to get it go more quickly. Once you get your computer up to code, you won't regret that you did. It's a great game w/ great graphics.

Well, before you run the game, press CTRL + ALT+ DEL to open the Task Manager and shut down every task in the applications (including your anti-virus). If that doesn't help than your computers hardware is in need of some upgrading.
I found that 512 MB RAM was sufficient enought to get the game to run smoothly. I also had to upgrade my graphics card. If your concerned about a budget...I would recommend the ATI Radeon 9200. I got it for $50 on eBay. Worse comes to worse....go here:

Hopefully that helps.

It could be your computer, how much space is on it, etc. I've learned that it takes diffrent times on diffrent computers. It's about that slow for me too, but on my partner's computer it only takes less than a minute. If you really want it to go faster you could try getting a computer with a faster processor and graphics card. Or just learn to be paitient, which sucks, but I do it anyway.

Yeah, I have that game. You need to keep your com cleaned out, and get rid of any unneeded files and stuff on your com. Defrag alot and that seems to make it go quicker. Buying more memory for your com is probably a good idea. Oh and looking on a cheat website isn't going to help. Srry. lol

I had the same problem. You probably need to buy a game card. Check to make sure you do meet all system requirements and talk to a sales rep. at a local electronics store.

I know, it is so slow! What I do is this: Before you put the CD in, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE. click task manager. then click processes. Then find something that is not nessasary like OUTLOOK.EXE. Nessasary things are explorer.exe and system idle process. Then click end process.Try to keep it under 25 processes. Have fun!

hmm....
could be your systems memory (RAM)
your processor speed...
or the graphics card
Find out what yours are and compare it to the system requirements, the only way to speed it up is to upgrade
know what your doing though, don't spend a lot of money upgrading an old computer

1. turn the graphic settings down Wayyyyy low.
2. run ad-aware on your computer, and have it delete everything that it finds. you may have spyware that severly slows down your computer
3. defragment your hard drive
4. maybe you have a bad computer, get a better one.
