When the French looking Lurch get a pass and is not held accountable. He is the real joke!

how often does this have to be explained. It wasn't even a true joke in the sense of the word. It was a sarcastic comment aimed at Bush. Not at the troops. This has been explained many times. Not as many times as some of the things Bush says. Why do you people place the bar higher for Kerry than you do for Bush???

Well, a botched joke is pretty much by definition *not* funny.

If you're referring to Kerry, he claims (and it frankly makes more sense this way) that the punchline of the joke was supposed to be "Look at George W. Bush." So there is at least some reason to believe the botched joke was about the President, not the troops.

But then, Kerry is not a funny man. Nor a witty one.

Botched jokes aren't funny by definition, That's why they are called "botched jokes".

I found it rather amusing after I was sent this link:

Before that I thought it would it would have been respectful for him to step out of office after such a comment.

By the by, Did anyone here that rumor that Kerry was thinking of running again? Just think for all of you who passionately dislike our president, We could have HAD HIM IN OFFICE!!! Yay how fun that would have been!!!!

Never. Our troops risk their lives to protect our country every day, and they should only be referred to with the highest level of respect.

Since Kerry did worse in school than Bush, what does that say about Bushes education? So that is why it doesn't make sense as a "joke".

Never.

Not even the Dem spin-doctors could make that one humorous.

Of course John Scary is about as funny as a stick on his good days, anyway.

jokes about our troops in harms way are never funny.

like when bush jokingly was looking for WMD's behind a curtain in the oval office while our soldiers were dying for this so-called justification to be in Iraq....not very funny!!!!!!
