Yea, well not a lot of people now a days are interested in reading books anymore, with the technology today they can just simply LISTEN to a book , people, especially teens don't even bother reading because they have "more important" things to do, for instance, play video games. I'm 15, I read often, I find that when people do read (Me at least) , you develope a better vocabulary, you read faster (believe it or not there are still teens out there that read so slow that they couldn't possibly follow along with the captions on a commmercial or movie or something...trust me..I've witnessed it), you make better grades, which in the end result in making it into a better college, ect...You also wouldn't believe the things you learn from just picking up a book and reading. I'm not saying that kids and teens should stop playing video games and watching tv ect, but I still think they should read a lot more, it makes an enormous difference.<---that answers your question on why there isn't any "what's your favorite book" questions. Anywho, I don't know how old you are, but anyways my favorite book personally is "Misery" By Stephen King, He's one of my favorite authors. But it's sorta gruesome(yes, a book can be gruesome if you have a vivid imagination) so for someone that doesn't like blood ect. I'd suggest something like "A Northern Light" By Jennifer Donnelly, it's really good, I could go on all day on good books because I'm what some people would call a "nerd" because I read about everyday., But those are my two favorites.

I have read many books, fiction, non fiction and the rest. I think "house of nine gables" was great. I have read a lot of Stephen King but was surprised by a not popular book of his "Gerald's games" was odd yet intriguing. I read "when rabbits howl" twice and the 9 or 10 left behind series, which was very good.

Too many to name!!!
I quite enjoyed "Oryx and Crake" by Margaret Atwood, and I loved the Harry Potter series... and when I was younger I also loved books by William Taylor (eg 'Agnes the Sheep' series - so funny) and John Marsden (I really enjoyed the 'Tomorrow when the war Began' series).
But hey, what's YOUR favourite book? The fact that you asked makes it sound like you're probably into reading and could have some good suggestions...!

Gone With the Wind by Margret Mitchell. It's an amazing love story and I don't think I get sick over reading it over and over again. It also won the Pulitzer prize so that says allot. It's stayed one of the most amazing love stories for 70 years. You can't put it down.

Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. Unbelievable story with everything in it. Long but at the end, you don't want it to end.
