On the B2200
Popping back throught the carb is most likely a Mis-Fire...
If its been sitting for a while do the easy stuff Tune-up
1st Plug Wires a mouse might have chewed through one.
Dist Cap, Rotor, Spark plugs...
If you get all done... And you still have a problem there is a rare problem that you might have that acts like Mis-Fire... There is a couple of plugs in the underside of the intake. If one of them pops out you can replace it with an aluminum plug... This doesn't ever happen I was told but it happen to me....
Get a B2200 Manual to help in the future... Hastings, booksamillion, ebay some place like that carry them...
Happy Motoring....

Get you a compression gauge and run a compression check to see if any cylinders are low.If compression is about equal on all cylinders then the valves are ok. It also could be bad gas if it's been sitn. Check your fuel filter also. Don't be dumpin tranny. fluid in your engine. You can get a fuel additive that will remove water from the gas. Check the auto supply.

sounds like a sticking intake valve, add some transmission fluid to the engine oil,its a good cleaner and may help, run a little thru the carb with the engine running to try lubing the valves or put upper cylinder lube in the fuel tank

Put some fresh gas in it,take it for a drive start out easy then slowly increase speed, look out for smoky, then slow down then try speeding up.
When they sit to long thing's deteriorate, spark plugs get things growing on them, the carb gums up usually driving them a bit blows all the crap out

that is usually a sign of being out of time or a spark plug wire switched and on the wrong plug. check fireing order first then timing.
it could also be a stuck lifter. you should use a good mechanic for this problem.

May be as simple as water in the dist cap or a cracked cap.
