How can I suppress this nagging desire to have more kids? It's all I can think about and I know my husband is getting beyond aggrivated because of it. Our son just turned two and I'm already dying to have a newborn again. I'd really love to stop this obsession but no matter how busy I keep myself or how much I listen to my husbands 'Common sense", nothing works. Am I going nuts?

Your not going nuts. It is common after having a child to want another child or to want to give that child a sibbling. Why don't you talk with your husband using common sense. Lets work out a game plan when another child would be best. If he says we are not financially ready for another child. Then make a plan to become financially ready and stick with you plans. In the meantime, don't lose your son's many accomplishments during you time of obsession. Enjoy your son.

No you're not. I felt the same way AFTER 2 kids. As I got older, I couldn't bare the thought of not having any more children. I'd cry about it and everything. You need to either talk to your Dr. and especially talk to your husband. I even got to the point; I didn't care WHAT my husband thought; "I" wanted another baby! There is nothing in this world that can compare to the love that a child can give you.

No. You are NOT going nuts! It is human nature to want more children. Focus on giving your own kids the best love you can. If this wanting of more children still is present, then by all means...have another!

Your not nuts but it is best for your current and future child to become parents again when both of you are willing. It is great to have maternal instincts and desires but doing it with the hubby is always better. Pray for God to give you peace and help you enjoy the blessing you have now. Hope this helps.

Everytime you think you might want more kids, Think of the bills you have and how many more you might have...Nursery school, private school, college, and all the other things. So before you think about another one consider the exspenses and the time. I bet the son you have brings you so much joy. Focus on him and give yourself some time. May God guide you threw this.

think of the jealousy issue ur 2 yr old will go through... ur son will then nag for attention and feel less loved because all you will do is focus on the baby.. have fun with the 2 yr old before he chooses to ignore you

I don't think your going nuts maybe you should think about all the responibitie of having to deel with two kids or all the work that comes from them... of you could just have more if you really want them....

no, it's perfectly normal to want to have kids, why would your husband put that down? if you want to stop thinking about it, either look in the mirror and say "not right now, maybe later, i don't need another child right now" and be done with it or just have another baby.
