I guess the price varies. From the other answers and what I found:

PCGS MS-65. Ex- Heritage Numismatic Auctions, Inc.'s "October 2000 Long Beach Sale" October 5-7, 2000, Lot 8510, not illustrated, sold for $747.50

PCGS MS-65. Ex - Superior Galleries' "The ANA 2001 National Money Show Auction", March 8-9, 2001, Lot 410, sold for $690.00

Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. Ex- Stack's "The September Sale", September 12-13, 2000, Lot 925, sold for $345.00

So I guess it depends on where you sell it and who does the selling and buying.

The 1923 Peace Dollar, was struck at 3 mints. The mint mark is on the eagle side below the word one. It is a common silver dollar no matter where it was minted. 30,800,000 minted in Philadelphia (no mint mark),6,811,000 minted in Denver (D) this is the scarce one for this date but is only worth money in uncirculated grades. The last one Is San Francisco (S) where 19,020,000 were minted. It is worth $10.00-$13.00 in circulated grades. Sell it to a coin dealer.

Well it's hard to say...I'm sure it's sentimental value is priceless, but if you take a look at this link: (http://www.goantiques.com/detail,sold-1923-peace,735651.html)
It looks like it sells for 15.00 in a case.
On eBay (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&fnu=1&from=R10&satitle=1923+peace+dollar&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=93010&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search&fgtp=) it sells for abour $15-$45 depending on the condition. Hope it helps
