It depends on where you get married in Vegas. There are 71 chapels to choose from from the very basic through to the luxurious (such as the Venetian, Wynn, Bellagio). There are also some amazing natural locations you can get married - the Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, Lake Las Vegas - so I think the answer to your question is 'no'.

I dont know why people would think getting married here is in poor taste. There are plenty of casinos here that are not tacky and they are quite elegant and romantic.
If they are talking about the chapels around town, i think it's a great idea. They are easy, quick and inexpensive. They don't need to be run by Elvis...that's up to you and maybe that's what would make a wedding tacky.

Ive seen some very tasteful elegant weddings in Vegas. Places like the Venetian have very nice weddings. Its not like on tv when you are married by Elvis (unless you want that)
