Some effort is required before one tastes the necter. Bitter rind is the worldly things that a person gets engrossed in. Break the barrier and move in to the sweet orange. :)

This how I peel my orange. Remove the outer Peel. Then split the inside in half and remove the white center stuff. Then separate into the individual sections. Then take fingernails and rip the rest of the center part off so you can remove the skin from both sides of the pulp and any seeds. Then eat and enjoy the best orange taste; the pulp, as this removes all the bitter. I picky about my oranges.

The easiest way to peel an orange is to score the peel four times around the orange running from top to bottom. Once it's scored, each section of peel will pull off easily.
