Are there really cameras in your school's bathroom?

Ok I heard that in some schools there are security camera's in the BATHROOMS! Eww...I feel so ugh...I don't know. It just bothers me because I have my period and don't want some man watching me go in the bathroom and take forever or listen to me and my friends conversations. I heard they can't be in the stalls so where would you look for one at cause I want to try and look at my school to see if there IS one. So where in the bathroom should I look? Also where would the room be where the people watch all the cameras? I'd like to find it too to see if there's camera's in the bathroom?

I believe it is illegal. But if there are cameras you have he right to know. All you have to do is go down to your schools main office and ask someone there. They have to tell you where the camera are placed.

There might be camera's in your bathrooms, I know some places do. These are too catch smokers, and others doing unlawful things. You don't need to be worried. 99% of the time, nobodies watching the, and the other 1% there's not sound.

They would be near the enterance, so that the inside of the stalls cannot be seen

In my HS we don't have cameras (there's probably around 15 bathrooms, though). Its expensive to keep up a camera.

So, don't worry about it, my best answer is that there most likely aren't cameras. But just in case...

first off i sincerely doubt that there would be cameras in most school bathrooms.

Also, if for some reason there are cameras in a bathroom, they wouldn't look in the stalls, I'm sure that that's illegal. if there were cameras, it would only film the parts with the sinks etc.

Another thing is if there were cameras anywhere in the school, no one really sits and monitors school cameras; usually they'd only be looked at if something had happened (like vandalism) to see if there was any photographic proof of who did the crime or whatever.

if there are cameras anywhere in your school, it should be pretty obvious. Either it'll look like a camera, or it'll look like a black glass dome on the ceiling. The ones at my school look like that, and its very obvious where each one is.

also, cameras usually are only put in a large area, like a cafeteria or big hallway.

well if any school did have cameras it would be just so they can make sure that noone's doing drugs or smoking or other dumb things. i know that there wouldn't be one in the stalls so you don't have to worry about that. what it probably is, is that they record it then watch it later like not watch anything as it happens. they would probably on the corner of one of the stall doors (not facing in the stall facing towards the sink or mirror). if you have anymore questions e-mail me at [e-mail]

i would say there r no cameras in the bathroom.and if there was the weman would watch the girls,and the men with the boys.but seriously,do u really think there cameras in the bathroom?wait there is one reason why they could have cameras in there.it's that if u have gay girls in the bathroom alone,and go in the stall together.but i really don't know.but i have seen bunches of cameras in the hallways.and the office people can watch it with t.vs in their office.i have seen thees t.v.s in the office u can see it on the side.but i haven't seen any t.v. camera that cameras the restrooms.i don't know where 2 look for 1 though.

I highly doubt there are cameras in your school's bathroom. It's probably against the law. I'm sure there aren't. No need to worry. If there are, then I don't know who would control them, where they watch them, etc. Don't worry!

The bathroom is about the only place my school don't have cameras.All them crazy yuggins out there i don't blame 'em.But there probably isn't one.if there are any camera's in your school at all the room where they're hooked up to is probably around up in the main office somewhere.

That is so illegal because a bathroom is a place where it should be private. I would tell the authorites if I suspected that my school had camera's in the bathroom...

That is totally against the law. Just like the law that prohibits cameras in dressing rooms, it would invade the privacy act.

Well in my old school Lakewood High School in Hebron, Ohio and Granville High School in Granville, Ohio they had the cameras in the entrance to the bathrooms.
