Alright. I am a twelve year old, and I live in a small town of about 4,000 people.

Now...I left my house today at 12:30 p.m. with 3 of my friends. I called my mom at 2:30 p.m. to tell her that I was alright. I used the phone from my friend's house.

So we were wlaking around my town, and I didn't get back home until 5:30 p.m.

Why is my mom mad?

Also, two of my friends were boys my age, and the other two were girls my age. One of the boys was my friend's (who was there) boyfriend.

More worried than mad I bet. I'm a mom of six kids. It's great you called in at 2:30 to check in. It's the 3 hours after that , that probably scared her. Moms worry , that's our job. It's also our job to try and keep you safe. It's hard to do that if we don't know where you are. Feel good she's mad. She loves you. You're lucky.

Well for starters HERE "today" is Friday and at 12:30pm HERE kids are in school until 3:00pm. As for why YOUR mom is mad...could it be because it took you three hours to get home from the time you called her?

she's mad cause you're 12!!!! any friends of yours shouldn't have boyfriends, they're too young.
she's worried that you'll get hurt, etc. doesn't matter that you live in a small town. it only takes 1 crazy person! wait until you're a parent (not for the next 15 years, i hope). you'll understand.

she was mad because she was sad that you came back 2 hours later but some mothers can get like that when there child comes home 2 hours later but in the inside she is glad you didnt get hurt so you rather just go with the flow and tellher when you might come home

Because you were aimlessly wandering around town for 5 hours and for 3 hours she had no contact with you and no knowledge of where her 12 year old daughter was. that;s pretty scary for a parent.

You're 12
I never minded that my son was with friends at that age but he needed to check in more often than that and he always told me what they were doing or what they were going to do later if he wouldn't be able to call.
There are too many creeps in this world not to worry about you kids.
She loves you!!!!
She wants to make sure you're safe!

because she cares about you and she was worried you should have been more honest about who you were with and where, also if you were gone more time than you should of been you should of called its called responsibility and to be treated like an adult you have to act responsible give your mom some respect tell her the truth and keep her updated she will bother you less and you will get in trouble less either way you will both respect each other more

She was probably mad because you were out walking around for three hours and she didn't know where you were. By the sounds of it, this hasn't happened before, and it can be quite worrisome for a parent to not know where their child is.

means she loves you.. that's what parents do.. worry...

when the dust settles, have a talk about what would be considered proper to go walking with the friends.. as you know.. people do go walking and you do have friends.

Possibly a pay as you go phone for christmas to have on hand.. won't hardly get too use it cause of cost but great to have incase you do need to make a call.

Maybe because she didn't hear from you for 2 1/2 hours.
