Are these pictures of Giant Squid or another specie, perhaps a Colossal Squid or Moroteuthis?

Giant Squid that you would not want to be in the water with when they are hungry or mad.
Discovery Channel did hours on this and they are most definitely G.S.

yes its definitely a giant squid but it looks pretty sick and hurt. Normally giant squids stay in the water about 500m deep they rarely come out to the shallows. And as seen in the picture the colour of the squid is fading its probably injured

There's no reason to believe that is not an actual squid. They do get to be that size, and bigger. Sorry that I can't tell you the species. It looks just like little squid, though, only bigger.
