Absolutely! Being a Boy Scout says a lot about your character. Applicants should definitely include that. Maybe you could highlight some of the service projects you have done? Even if you don't, though, they will still know that you are a reputable young man.

Boy Scouts is considered community service and does look good on a private high school or public college application. I had the Girl Scouts on my college application.

I am also curious why you are applying to high school. Being in the Boy Scouts by itself is NOT community service, but for each rank advancement a certain number of hours of community service is required (if I remember correctly). Add up all the hours for the ranks you recieved. List that number on the application and if you want your rank also.

High school application?

......Boy Scouts is a great organization and no matter what your applying for the fact that you were a scout should give the high school some idea of your character.

Yes, unless that school is some liberal scumhole. The Scouts is the best as far as I'm concerned.

Please confirm that you're applying for a teaching posititon so that people won't be confused.

Yes it should be but I do not know why you have to put it on a highschool application unless you are going to a Christian one.
