First, try to make sure that you have pads or tampons available to you at all times in case it comes. You dont want to end up getting it suddenly and not have anything. Also, have some midol available. Some girls get cramps, others don't. I ALWAYS do, so I have some Midol on hand and as soon as I start bleeding, I take some. Then it starts to get rid of them before they can get bad. Above all else, DONT WORRY. All women and teen girls go through it. It is nothing to be embarrassed about.

i got my first period when i was 10 and it sucked. it still sucks 18 years later. i think part of it was that i had a crazy psycho step mother at the time and she told me horror stories about it.... either way i still don't like getting them.

good luck to you!

Nothing you can really do about it, just deal.
Physically-cramps-heating pad, no carbonation, and low salt.
Mentally- talk to your mom or a friend.
