I have to go with wilkes_in.
"Postscript" - one word in English - comes from the Latin "Post Scriptum".
"After what is written".
It is abbreviated 'PS'.
Because 'Postscript' is one word, could only properly be abbreviated 'P'!
But could mean "Play Station", today!

Psst....lol.. no post script... to the man who said post sentiment... I also read that in a book, but wasn't taught that by a teacher so we will deduce that the teachers wouldn't incessantly teach incorrect material. I think we'll just stick to saying PS. Everyone knows what PS means, I think the definition is somewhat irrelevant.

Post script. It's something like an addendum to your letter usually in 1 sentence to raise a point not mentioned in the main body of the letter..

It stands for Postscript: It is an additional thought that the writer adds at the end of a letter, etc.
