Well, let's see. He could have been put on a probabtion period. Which means that there will be so many days before he is able to send mail or make phone calls. The reason I am saying this is because I used to work at the county jail in my home town and I used to work at a private prison facility. Give it time, if he wants to communicate with you while he is inside, he will eventually call or write you. some inmates when they are incarcerated, they would rather not have outside contact with the ones they love because they feel ashamed of what they did to get put in jail in the first place. Just call the place that he is incarcerated at and ask if he has visiting privledges and if so, when are they. Then make time to go and visit him and see why he isn't writing or calling. Wish you luck.

My Dear Young Lady
First what was your boy friend sent up for ...?
# 2.. three years is along time to be locked up, and closed away from the one you love, and that being you I asum.
In the Joint it's bloody hard to get through each day, and it's the nights that become even harder, and even more dangerous if you get my meaning.
# 3 Another reason is that maybe it's hard for him to get onto a computer since there are some many inmates and so few computers.
Another reason you have to really taken some time to just set back and think... that maybe that is his way of getting through this hard time, just the very thought of you being out there in the world, and he can't be with you, it's enough to drive a man crazy just thinking about you, being out there looking so Beautiful and laughing and enjoying others company,
your answer::::::
If he wants to make it through this long haul, he has to let you go and set you free,
Because if he doesn't it will drive him insane just thinking about you,
So please just step a side and give him, some time to adjust to his new surroundings and fears.
Then if you don't hear from him for awhile more, just walk away and get on with your life.
So that he can survive his time and maybe get out in one piece, and no mental scares.
Please don't write to him any more... just wait and see what happens.
But please remember the most imporant thing in this message to you is,
If he is even going to have a chance to make it through this Nightmare of three years..you must cut him lost, and by doing that he will have at lest a chance.
God Bless.

they inspect all the mail, read it then pass it on. Some places you don't get mail everyday, you get it once a week or so. Plus he may need to have money on his books before he can send anything. but if you know he has money, and just isn't responding and you love him and want to wait, then have you tried visitations? just keep writing, he's getting them, he's pry depressed going through a whirl wind of different things, it could help him by you keep writing to let him know you're still there and you still care. But...if you're not wanting to wait, then cut if off now and don't write anymore, it will be easier on him to deal with the breakup being in there, then to wait till he get's out then do it, cause you may have been the reason he made it through emotionally, and who knows how he may react.. Not to mention it will be easier on yourself.

well first of all, when you write to him as you know it has to be read by others.second if he does not have any money in his account there he wont be able to write to you. they do not provide paper, envelopes and stamps. the inmates have to buy those things at the store inside the jail. so this could be a reason. but if you know he has money to buy those things and he still has not wrote back. it could very well be that he does not expect you to wait for him and that's the reason he is not writing. maybe he feels that if he don't write to you then you will give up and move on.

Mail is only handed out once a week. There is a good chance he is still acclimating to prison life. Also, depression is rampant in prison, he may be in the middle of a funk.

Is there someone sending money to go on his account? If not, with only making $7.50 a month and having to buy hygiene's he would not be able to purchase the items necessary to write and send letters. Just keep the letters going, they are very important.

Maybe he lost the write to write you or he not getting the mail, He may want you to move on with your life. Why are you wanting to be with a law braker any way? Are you not a nice young lady. Find someone who is nice too and who is not a law braker.
