You can try Fushigi Yuugi or Zettai Kareshi, it is both made by Watase Yuu, the same maker of Ayashi no Ceres.
Oh and try Kare Kano!~ <3 total comedy/romance!

Like what the first girl said, I would also suggest Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend) to read. To watch, I would suggest Ouran High School Host Club it's a romantic anime and it's funny. I would suggest watching Peach Girl. I can't say it's entirely romantic but not. Fruits Basket is good too. It has a little romance in the show. But it shows more romance in the manga because the series doesn't finish the whole entire story plot.

If you're familiar with Ayashi No Ceres, I would first suggest you read Yu Watase's first series, Fushigi Yugi. The original FY series is currently available in its entirety, and the spin-off, Genbu Kaiden, has had a few translated volumes published so far.
If it's fantasy romance that you like, I would also suggest Escaflowne. If you're looking for more general romance, I suggest Hot Gimmick or W Juliet.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is maybe the only anime that almost made me cry. This is a good one. Or you could try Midori no Hibi, Onegai Teacher (those 2 are a bit ecchi though),
