i know nothing about cars. i only choce the impala and the pontiac because my parents dont like 2 door cars, so im look for a sedan looking type car. however, i do not want to end up fixing up my car just because of my lack of knowledge. oh, i like the impala because it has that remote vehicle starter system. i did some research on the g6, and im not quite sure if they have that option. feel free to make any other suggestions.

If you want a great car, with a great history, go with the impala. Pontiacs are great cars too, as its my personal preference, but you gotta hand it to Chevy, the Impala is one heck of a ride. If you want the g6, just remember that since it is a new model car, it will be hard to find parts for. Not many people have bought into the idea of the g6's yet, as much as the Impala's anyways. The Impala will get you about the same, if not a little more power than the g6, if you're looking for power. If you're looking for ride comfort go for the Impala. The G6 will offer great style, and head turning looks, but just remember that if it does break down. Parts are going to be expensive for a while.

A 2007 Impala LT is a great car! The ride of an Impala has always been smooth and as far as I can remember, the Impala has been around. I remember my Dad was buying one every four years since 1963. He was always able to find a buyer and rarely had any problems. It is from a line of extremely dependable cars. Pontiacs on the other hand....mostly negative first hand experience. More of a throw away car. Not know for lasting value or dependability. Good Luck!

I just looked at an Impala LTZ today. I loved it. I really could not afford it that's why I didn't get it. The 3.9L V-6 gets 29mpg on the hwy. So Chevy says. The car does really look good and the LTZ trim is top of the line. Heated leather seats, Bose stereo, XM radio are all standard. As far as I know, the car is reliable and I have heard no bad things about it in regards to it's relaibility. I would only suggest that you avoid the V-8 equiped SS model. That is a bit over kill for that car.

I'd say that you should test drive both of them and see which one you like better. The Impala will be larger, and have tons of trunk space, but if you're still single and would like something sportier looking, then the g6 should be the car for you. Either one is good, it's more of a personal choice I guess.

The G6, in my opinion, is the best choice. It's better looking, and more sportier than the Impala.

wait for the '07 altima? it's coming out soon and looks great. I have a '97 ford crown vic (with the police package so it's all heavy-duty/high-performance) and it's been GREAT, but my mom's had GM stuff and had lots of problems. People speak well of the Ford Fusion if there's a buy-American orientation. carsurvey.org is a terrific place to see what experiences people have had with various cars.
