When I was a little girl I loved a song that went:
Nobody wants me and tomorrow's Christmas day, Nobody needs me for a Christmas holiday, Nobody wants me and I have no place to stay- Nobody wants me....Im gonna run away!

It was about a little Christmas tree that sat while other trees were being chosen by people. He worried that he'd have to spend Christmas alone. Can anyone help me??

It was just called "The Christmas tree that ran away" and it was my favourite all time christmas song.

From memory, at the start of the song, the tree lives in a rich persons home who has decided that he is too small and shabby looking, and tells the staff to throw it out. The tree overhears it and runs away (hence)

Chorus:
Nobody loves me and tomorrow's Christmas Day
Nobody needs me for the Christmas holiday
Nobody wants me and I have no place to stay
Nobody loves me...I'm gonna run away

Then he trudges about in the snow ,cold and lonely for a while until he comes to a little house. He then looks in a window, and the verse goes something like...

Through the window he could see
little Tommy's sleepy head,
and he heard Tommy praying
before he climbed in bed.
We don't have many presents, Lord
but maybe you could see,
some way of getting us
just a little christmas tree.

Can't remember what goes next...but he sneaks inside while tommy is sleeping and when tommy wakes up he finds that his wish has been granted....and the lyrics go:

"It's a miracle!" they shouted,
and he knew it was true
cause he had found a home
and a loving family too.

Somebody loves me
and today is Christmas Day
Somebody needs me
for the happy holiday
Somebody wants me
and I have a place to stay
Somebody loves me
I'll never run away!

Just found something that might be of interest to you...
There is a website that will make a CD of it for you and send it to you. Website is: http://www.recordtimenow.com/christmascdspecial.htm

It's not much use to me in Australia, because it would be dreadfully expensive to get it here...so please let me know if you manage to track down the lyrics or somewhere I can get it from. Have Fun!!

I cannot find it but maybe this site can help:

http://www.songtapper.com/

You can tap the rhythm of the song in and hopefully it can tell what song you are looking for.
