Well, "Puff, the Magic Dragon" is a folk song!

By the way, I remember in youth group that my church used to preach against rock music, and said that folk music was from the devil as well! They claimed that Peter, Paul, & Mary were in league with the devil, and that the song "Puff, the Magic Dragon" was their way of getting children to smoke marijuana!
Oh, those kookie, kookie churchmongers! What paranoid delusions won't they think up next? How ridiculous! I mean, when I smoked marijuana, I NEVER thought of Peter, Paul & Mary!

Dio and Iron Maiden wrote songs about fantasy as did Manowar don't know if they wrote any songs about dragons.

The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins by William Shatner

You have to hear it to believe it. Captain Kirk singing about the Hobbit. I heard it on college radio 91.1 WRVU in Nashville one night.

I don't know of any but Dio or Dokken possibly played some about dragons, they were into stuff like that.
