a 3 month gym membership? shes my best friend & she wont tell me exactly what she wants, she says "something i wont buy for myself". well she was talking about wanting to start @ this gym & i can get her 3 months for $99 then if she likes it she can keep going. Between what her & my sis told me I know shes gettin me something pretty nice from best buy??? i have no clue. Do u think she would be offended? Shes 27 by the way....HELP!

Oy, that's a tricky one.
I absolutely LOVE your idea, and the fact you're thinking about giving her the gym-membership because she talked about wanting to start doing that.
It shows you listen to her, AND remember what she's said (not all men are good at that).
The tricky part lies in the fact you have to figure out HOW to present this pressie.....you don't want to give her the impression you think she's out of shape, and/or maybe fat, and that YOU think she needs to go to the gym.
Mind you....it seems like you and your girlfriend are a good match, so chances she will misunderstand the meaning of your present don't seem that high.
I'd say : "Go for it"!!

Is she the type of person to read into the gift that you are telling her that she's fat/out of shape/etc? If she is, don't get it. If she isn't, then it might be something to consider. Does she like to work out?
I wouldn't be offended personally, but then again, I'm not like a lot of women. You should be able to figure out by her past responses to things if she would take it badly.
You might also want to consider a gift certificate to a local day spa. Lovely gift without the baggage.
