clearly he's got some feelings for you that "bright red" is embarrassment hes shy and gets nervous when he's talking to you. i noticed you didnt say in your question whether you liked him or not? and you didnt say how old you were. this "play fighting" sounds like youre pretty young anyway if you like him then tell his sister :)

she totally wanted to get the scoop for her brother. if u like him and want him to ask u out, then tell his sister that u like him. (and maybe hint that if he would ask u out u wouldnt reject him....) and if u dont like him then just tell his sister u dont. that way he doesnt directly feel rejected.
u've got the perfect situation here! u can have him know anything u want him to just by telling his sister. (take advantage of that!!)
