you can't become emo. emo isn't a style, music, or fashion even though many people think it is. emo stands for emotional, and emo people generally are depressed and sometimes (in extreme cases) cut. emo people are more than the black clothes and make up. the clothing is a cry for help so that they can be released from their depression.

honey you cant BECOME emo. if you just BECOME you'd be a poseur. emo is an attitude and a lifestyle and its not cut your hair in a fringe, wear skinny jeans with a tie. and listen to panic! at the disco. I suggest you read about REAL emo and not what MTV wants you to think emo is....becaus its not short for emotional

Trust me. You don't want to be emo, 'alternative' 'hippies' 'Gothic' even, fine because they are more orientated around clothes, music and objects. My freind went 'emo' and she hangs around in town with all her little emo mates now, she smokes/drinks/spliffs and its disgusting, she is obsessed with her weight and her hair. They all seem to have no opinions unless its the childish 'it doesn't matter' or 'i don't care' answer.
i mean, come on - do you really aspire to being like that?

why do u wanna become emo? ull gonna kill urself and if ur already feeling like that then ur already emo and i suggest u get help. being emo is a feeling not a way that ppl dress. dressing in black is only them telling the world that they're dying and they only get mad fun off. actually if u only wanna dress in black but no killing of oneself, that's called punk.
