I think Candles are great gifts.
If you don't want Candles then you should take a nice vase or clock or a picture frame. Picture frames are always good gifts.

We have a family party like this. Each person must bring a gift of value up to $5.00. All gifts are placed on a table. All people's names are put in a hat. Then the 1st name is drawn & he/she gets any one gift on table. Then that person will draw a name from the hat & that person can either pick a new gift or take the 1st persons gift.....so on til all gifts are gone. Last name in hat gets the last gift or can take one of other peoples gifts.
The gift I took went around the room many times. It was A cookie jar santa w/cookies inside, wrapped up & a bag of M&M's taped to outside the gift.
we had a ball playing!

Here's an idea:
Find a picture of yourself and autograph it! If you have a digital camera and can print a picture of yourself, take one really close to your face with a very cheesy smile and blow it up really big before autographing it. That would be a hit!

You can bring funny hat,perhaps It would attract someone.And the better idea is do the magic.

when we had ours last yr someone brought a ceramic santa and it was the best liked present
