me and my husband moved to a different state after we got married. we have been away from his baby mama drama, drop in relatives and any other saturated mess we could have stumbled upon. after 2 years away we are homesick for family and the good stuff we left behind and ready to move back. I'm a little nervous since I'm not sure how this will effect what we have. any advice on how and what we'll possibly be faced with?

once you move back you will probably soon get sick of it all again.. Why not just go back for a vacation to visit.. or maybe move back but just dont move so close to them so they couldnt just drop by like they did before.... Move to a different city, but close enough to where you can go visit once in awhile.. good luck!

If you've been away for that long, then the family may have gotten the message. If not you need to very clearly tell them. No contact without a telephone call first, so that you can collect yourselves. Explain to them that you miss the family part but will not put up with the other pleasantries and drama! Be firm and expect some Resistance, but all will work out in your favor if you can stand your ground and set the rules. Best wishes and good luck!!

First pray. Then visit first and offer those you miss most the opportunity to visit where you are.

Remember: Absence makes the heart grow fonder and the memory of the truth fuzzier, if after you visit you think that the level of drama has changed and you all still wanna go back then do it.

You havent been back at all in 2 years????
OMG, I'd go for a vacation FIRST. You've simply forgotten how it was. That will be a great refresher course!

You will get what you expect. Expect it to bring happiness and it will. I moved home and have loved it. Being away made me appreciate being close to family again.
