I seriously can NOT think of any. People who dislike it say it is disgusting or wrong because they are close-minded, ignorant, and stupid. And that is their opinion, not a fact.

Also, they use the Bible and put up 50 quotes as to why it is wrong. BUT man wrote the Bible, not God. And people are allowed to have FREEDOM of religion under the First Amendment in the US Constitution, so the religions of Christianity are not the only religions/beliefs allowed, are NOT the one true RIGHT ideas.

So then tell me: WHY IS BEING GAY WRONG?

By the way, I am not being "closed and narrow minded", jim h. I am asking for enlightenment on this issue.

I am not saying "I HATE PEOPLE WHO DON't ACCEPT GAYS". I am asking for you to tell me reasons I do not see for why it is wrong!

Also, I do not think that gay is wrong, Chastity. I am bi myself. And I am secure in myself, who I am attracted to, and what I believe in. I believe in a God and a Goddess. I do not dismiss either of them.

There is a fundamental problem with your question. Identifying what is a reasonable answer is up to you and you are obviously biased against anyone who believes contrary to your beliefs. So for that reason there is no reasonable answer to your question.

From a genetic standpoint however, since gay people are "born gay" then it must be genetic. In nature only things that would ruin the gene pool (retarded people/people with severe genetic abnormalities) lack the ability to reproduce. Homosexuals, while they have all the sexual structures and cells(sperm and egg) required to reproduce, cannot reproduce because they are "born gay". Which like I said earlier, if they were born that way it must be genetic and therefore they are genetic abnormalities and therefore it is wrong to be gay.

I completely agree with you.

Homosexuality is not an abomination. I am a firm believer that Gay's and Lesbians were born that way. Why would someone chose to be so different? I am not gay, but some of my best friends are. They would give anything to be like other people and be normal. They did not chose to be this way I can assure you. What they do with each other in a sexual manner can be concieved differently. I personally don't have a problem with it. It is their choice and if that is what makes them both happy and they do not drag other people into it, then I see no problem with it. Other people cannot even fathom any justification in two men together and those are the people most commonly known as homophobic in our society.
Gay people might be frowned upon, but so are people who are racist and judge people on the conditions that they were born with.
And tell me this, If God is errorless, how come there are Gays?
I think that God placed homosexuals on earth to teach us acceptance and equality. Noone is getting the point though.

Do you honestly think that a homosexual with a choice would CHOSE to be so different? Do you think that my 13 year old nephew would have cried every night and wrote a 12 page suicide letter if he coulod have just CHANGED his sexuality?

Let me ask you this, can you CHANGE your sexuality? Right now. Try it. Can you CHOSE to be gay right now? I didn't think so. And why not? Because you were born that way.

Do you think that God put homosexuals on this earth so that you all could have someone to abuse?

NO!

I am sick of homphobic people tearing down gays. Its ridiculous and petty.

But anyways. Right on girl. I agree. Thre is no reasoning that can prove gay is wrong, but a while bunch proving that maybe there isnt anything wrong with it after all.

I would not say being gay is wrong, so much as there are a few pitfalls that come with the territory. First and foremost, is society's homophobia. Hate crimes, not being able to marry (at least in most places), social stigma, etc. are all ways that others attempt to put a damper on enjoying basic human rights we're all entitled to.

If you subtract all the religious biggotry and homophobia, you are still left with a few aspects of homosexuality with true inequalities to life as a heterosexual. As a minority group, it goes without saying that your dating pool is limited (especially in rural or smaller suburban areas). It's statistically proven that gays are more likely to be smokers and drug and alcohol abusers - so if those types of people are undesirable potential dates, you've just limited your dating pool further. There's also few places to meet other gays, besides Internet dating sites, clubs and bars.

Finally, it can also be argued that many gays adhere to a certain so-called "lifestyle" of promiscuity, with emphesis on superficial lust and casual sex. Yeah, you'll hear a lot of rebuttals that this is just a stereotype and most gays aren't like that - but if you go to a bar or a chatroom, it's readily apparant how this stereotype came to be. While a promiscuous lifestyle is certainly not exclusive to homosexuals, it's prevelent to the point of making you feel like an outcast if you don't participate in it, among gays.

Heres a good example. When a young man or woman decides to murder another for whatever reason, you tend to see that their parents and/or other relatives and friends stand by them no matter what. However, when a person comes out that they are gay, some or most people (even their own parents) turn away. How can this be right? It is not an individual's choice to be gay. They do not choose to be discriminated against everyday of their lives. Someday being gay won't be such a big deal, as being black or mexican is not such a big deal anymore. I believe in the freedom to be yourself. If gays and lesbians are not excepted in this country then neither should buddists, or jews, or christians. We really need to stop foccussing on others and focuss on our own issues. I just ask everyone to stop hating others for being different and just accept what you see not what you think.

Because people are xenophobic morons who are scared shitless by anything different from average. Have you ever raised chickens? They just peck at a chicken who looks different from the rest of the flock for any reason, sometimes until the abnormal chicken dies if you put them in too small a pen where there is nowhere to run.

Humans are just like chickens, only instead of attacking one with a spot of paint or differently-colored feathers they will pick on the one kid on the playground with glasses or the smart kid or the short kid or the black kid or anything that makes one person or small group unlike the majority, including homosexuality. The "Because the Bible says so" and the even more direct and animalistic and primal "because its disgusting and I don't like it" are really just attempts at justifying the unjustifiable.

There isn't a reasonable reason. With 6 billion people on the planet, procreation is not an issue and beyond that if someone feels their religion forbids it then they shouldn't do it BUT they also should learn to accept others ways are not their own and equally as valid. C'mon, don't you ever wonder how someone would react if say a jewish guy was able to outlaw the production of pork products for the entire world simply because their belief said it was unclean? Same exact difference with homosexuality.

As far as YOUR religious belief...the Lord and Lady do indeed help one to understand the concepts of balance and acceptance. Bright blessings.

People think abortion is wrong, people think the death sentence... but hold up, they are allowed in some states. Who wrote the First Amendment? It wasnt God, it was humans, so who's to say that thats right? You can't expect people who are Christians to abide by your statemnt that there religion is untrue and not the right ideas, if you are a Christian, you believe that is right. A great majority of our opinions come from previously stated theories. My reasons fall under that homosexuality is not wrong, unless they exchange in sexual interaction. I believe sexual interactoin is only to be had in marriage, because if you have sex, you are open to children, and when you are in a gay relationship, children are not a possiblity.

OK on the religion standpoint all religions that i know about in more detail than the name.meaning i have a basic understanding of Islamic(Muslim) Hindu Christianity, and a few others all of which their god wants humans to procreate,or have babies. that being said 2 men or 2 woman cannot do that.
from scientific standpoint if you believe in evolution and all that if it was meant to be that way men would have overies and a uterus somewhere in their butt and woman would have testicles somewhere as well as the genitles each sex already have.that is why it is wrong.
However people say in christianity GOD HATES HOMOSEXUALS....THAT IS NOT TRUE. he does hate their life style but he loves the people themselves. he wants them to put that life behind them.

personally i am the same way I dont like their choice but all of the people i know that are gay i like for their personality. and who they are not what they are.

You use the word "WRONG." Who defines right and wrong? Or is it subject to your personal interpretation?

OK, so you disrespect the Lord of Heaven. Then try this one: two men having sex? Where is the organ to receive? God gave woman an organ to receive. Two women having sex? Where is the organ to give? God gave the man an organ to give.

It's so simple to see, God did not intend on two males or two females engaging in sex. To do so is going against the creator. But, people like you are against God in their thinking. So, you too go against God.

Hey, life is short for the unbelieving...I'll win this argument sooner or later anyway.

Well, the first thing that comes to mind is that if everyone was gay, then humans would cease to exist in one generation (not that it would be a bad thing).

I don't care who loves who or beds who or hates who. I only know that I don't care to sample that lifestyle but am not going to judge those who do. If the hershey highway is the road they choose then let the chocolate chips fall where they may.
