I've read and heard about how people saying even though they have done bad things in their past that they wouldn't dream of doing now they still have no regrets. How can someone truely turn thier back on those deeds without regret? Wouldn't that allow for them to return to those bad behavoirs? I have many regrets. I don't dwell on most of them but I see no reason to not regret any of the things I did or didn't do that make for those regrets.

You are absolutely right! I can remember being one of those who never regretted my past or anything I did. I use to say it got me where I am today. But I think I am not being honest. I am ashamed and embarrassed and angry for many of the things I have done in my past. I regret plenty. I am so sorry for so much. And there are no "do overs."

I am one of those people who have no regrets. I'll explain if it makes you feel better. Every single experience in my life whether good or bad has had it's hand in forming the person I am today. Today I am a person that I like, love, respect, and that I'd be proud of if I were outside of myself looking in. All of the mistakes were lessons learned. I value every single experience.

People that have morals and principles have regrets. You are right not to dwell on them. We just need to learn from them.
