If you can, try to visit both areas for a week or so and see which is better. Also ask yourself if you love extreme hot weather all year round or no? Also do a affordability list and compare the two. It's always best to live in a place where you can afford to live without breaking the bank.

well, lets see. Since I was born and raised in Houston, I should probably say Houston, BUT I WON"T.The traffic isn't really all that bad here, except for the normal rush hour traffic.Yes, it is pretty populated here, but in my opinion it is because soooooooo many hispanics have chosen to move here.As far as Atlanta, I guess the same applies, My cousin moved there and said that there are mainly african americans there, but I would much rather live amongst those I can understand, so I would say ATLANTA!

Atlanta all the way (but in the suburbs.) I've been to both cities. Atlanta has a very large African American population and Houston has a large Latin American population. Both have bad traffic. Atlanta is more fun, it is considered a very "hip" city.

I've been in both. I'd opt for Houston. The traffic is bad there but compared to Atlanta it's nothing!

I would check crime statistics for the two areas before I made a decision. I think Houston has seen a rather large increase in violent crime in the last year, so make sure you get the most current figures.

Houston. I have lived at both places. Atlant is now too crowded and real estate it too high.

Houston is a lot better living
