My child support is electronically drafted each month and deposited in her account. I have also given her thousands of $ above my ordered obligation. I also provide for my (x-stepdaaughter) who is in my heart really mine. However my x not only ignores the bills I send her for what our divorce says she should pay, but she doesn't even offer to help with expenses for my x-stepdaughter who is her biological child. They both live with her and I have liberal visitation and am very thankful for that, however, the money she owes by court order and what she should voluntarily want to give me for xsd is running into the thousands of $. $5000 for braces, I payed all. $2500 worth of cosmetic surgery, I payed. I also buy all of their clothes, I take them to the doctor, dentists , ect. I take them on vacations every year, sometimes twice. I've already been informed that a new car at 16 is my responsibility as well.
I don't mind bearing the bulk of the expense but her help would be nice.

Court ain't gettin it done guys. Nothing in a divorce decree is inforceable; except the child support order. Guess what happens to me if I don't pay?

goodluck on this one...My ex is supposed to carry insurance on our son...court ordered! To this day he hasn't paid not one bill for him. Although he is respnonsible for all med and dental (all except $100.00) which i am to pay. When i contacted child support, i was told....that i could pay the bills, then take him to small claims court. It doesn't hardly seem fair, but that's the way it is. You could contact your lawyer, and ask if she is in contempt.

First, try having a talk with her about it. Let her know that from now on you EXPECT her to cough up her half of certain expenses. Then send her bills for her half. If she doesn't pay, have your attorney contact her.
**Also--keep records of every single dime you spend on those kids, so she can't claim that you haven't paid HER for certain things. That way, you can also show the court that you have already gone above and beyond, and you are actually being generous by not asking her to help pay for for every single LITTLE thing.
