Maybe it is something instilled in us from a young age that **That person is different cos they wear glasses**, cos children are the product of their upbringing at home..and reflect that attitude when start going to school especially if from home where glasses were not generally worn.

Now to get to your question why? well I would assume that wearing glasses would invoke a response of being favoured over person not wearing them or course depending on situation being they are reliant and therefore tolerant of physical disabilities?

To me personally they give the air or sophistication and elegance as after all it's only a vision/poor sight problem of which we all will suffer at some time...

The opposite would apply tho in a lot of other situations where the wearing of glasses impedes functioning for whatever.. Cheers

I'm not sure if this answers your question but here it goes. I always had a thing for guys who wore glasses. I have no idea why but I do. My ex boyfriend wore glasses and my husband did until he got the laser eye surgery. I still catch myself checking out guys who look similar to my husband and wear glasses. For me I think it is the combination of an attractive guy who is smart. With the strange idea that people who wear glasses are smart, which is not always true but is true with a good amount of people I know. So to answer your question I could see myself favoring a guy who wears glasses and who I think is attractive because I think I am drawn to the idea of the "complete package" even though there is no such thing. You got me thinking now. Nice question.

hmm..interesting question. I think I have heard of this before. This may or may not be legitimate but....

i think I remember someone saying that if a person who played a critical role in the positive areas of another's life wore glasses then the glasses become an identifying component of that kind of positive relationship.
