If anything, you need to have a lot of cash should you get stranded. You should also see if someone else can go with you. Being stranded is one thing but being stranded alone is something else. Please have money, cell phone, and a lot of contacts that you can get in contact with in case something bad happens. Prepared is always better than not having a back up plan.

There are always open rooms to rent. The whole country (besides Kingston) is a resort. I have stayed in Negril several times and then got a room last minute in Mo Bay the night before I head home. It has never been a problem. I would get with a cab driver and simply ask him to take you to a hotel. 9 out of 10 will have a openeing.

Honey, you need to have a back up plan. Jamaica is beautiful, but there are a lot of things you need to know about and be prepared for.
-- you do not want to be faced with being stuck on a dark street in the middle of the nite in an unfamiliar place.

Be smart and be safe, take money, take a cell and know how to contact someone to pick you up if you need out.

It all depends on where you are going in Jamaica . If you are in Negril there will be plenty of places to stay for very reasonable prices , especially if you don't have to stay on the beach

Please dont travel to a foreign country without a backup plan. Cash is great and all but travelers checks would be better in case you should run into problems with the locals and they are easily replaced. Always...........always travel wisely
