And if i call the cops they take forever to follow up on it. How do I threaten him without doing anything illegal. I already told him I was gonna call the cops. I've given him a month now. I'm ready to driver down to Tennessee from Minnesota nd strangle the kid

WELL... you could start sending him reminders EVERY DAY! It might cost you some money but it would be fun to make things hard for him to forget the money. He isn't going to pay you back. The police can't really do anything unless you file a report and have proof that he took the money.
Email him - call him..... send mail.....
Just an idea.

You will have to go to Tenn.to file charges on him is it worth it.The best thing to do is stay low he will be back around some day.Don't know if it was family a coworker a friend or what just remember who ever he was you don't need people like him in your life.I don't have or want friends they will get you in the long run family is bad enough

Take him to court. Get all the evidence u can to bring.
