Family is like a MILK it has to be protected from influence of external and internal influences. Our role is to adore elders,appreciate peers and encourage youngers. ask friends to help you out inevery challenge you meet as a team. Success will follow you. But friend it 's not that easy. You have to perform Tapasya for the same all the best.

As far as I know it varies with different families. In some families, the parents are over-protective, and place a lot of restrictions on the children.The kids may not necessarily follow the rules, but will at least give the impression that they do! For example, one of my friends HAS to be at home latest by 9 pm, and hardly gets to drive the car, but at 2 AM he sneaks off with the car!(at least that's what he says he does!)
others may give their kids plenty of freedom, and/or place responsibilities on them as well.

I think tolerance is the key to the success of any relationship whether within an Indian family or otherwise.... Understanding that not eveyone is like you and each is a different person helps in strengthening bonds...
