every day 'cept saturday & sunday are named after norse gods. so i wonder if there was a day for my favorite "god", LOKI....
or how's 'bout we just rename saturday to lokiday, being as saturn doesn't really fit in with the rest of the scheme, plus that day tends to be more mischievious than any other day of the week.

Rather odd choice of deities.....
Not bad mind you, Loki had some odd things to say and do.

After all, he helped his blood-father Odin and his blood-brother Thor slaughter several of his own kind. It would make sense that eventually he'd want a little 'payback' I guess in the end.

Me??? I'd prefer all spiritual significance go away.....

Following suggested days
Monday- Pounding Day (as in the hangover)
Tuesday- Argh Day (Argh, gotta go to work)
Wednesday- Mid-week (or Will it ever end Day)
Thursday- Push Day (push to get all of the weeks work done)
Friday- Half Day (in celebration of surviving the week)
Saturday-Who Cares Day (lets go party)
Sunday- Hope Day (hope I don't get a hangover after tonight)

No. Loki started out as fun dude, but turned into a vicious jerk after a while. It was he who started (will start) Ragnarok, so the other gods don't want to give him his own day.

Well, not exactly.

Buuut, the Smith-god Weyland, often called "Wend", did manage to steal Odin's Day, which most Americans now pronounce
" Wend's Day ".....
