"there is a time to stand and there is a time to stand aside"

Retreat may lose a battle but win the war. fighting on sometimes is the most foolish thing to do. surrender can be the backdoor to victory.

I believe every situation is different and must be evaluated. no easy or pat answers to your question.

May God give us wisdom to do what is right!!!

god bless!!

You retreat when you lose control, lose sight of your objective, and need to rethink your approach. You keep fighting when you truly believe in your cause, when you KNOW you are right and when winning is the only outcome you will accept. You surrender when you know that you have done all you can, tried your best, run out of options and can live with the outcome. No matter what the outcome or action you have won because you made the choice.

Defense always has the advantage over offense. A retreat can be a well planned form of defense. You keep on fighting as long as those that you agreed to fight for supply and support you. As for surrender, well, many good people have returned from being pows and many have died. I suppose that will have to be a personal decision based on whom you are fighting.

There are some things worth fighting for, freedom is one. If you are going to begin a conflict expect to be in it the whole way through. Do not surrender, run away to live another day.

Fall back when over run by massive force (LIKE ARMOR), stay and fight when slightly over matched, and dug in, and enemy tries a charge on foot. Surrender when completely over run and help cannot be gotten, when you're out gunned, out manned, and out armored.
