Let's be realistic, the season still has a long way to go...and if i recall correctly, a couple of years back Leicester led the Premiership in November and got relegated. So I think we'd be overly presumptuous if we condemned Charlton too quickly or let a side like Reading off the hook too soon.

At this point, I'd be worried about Watford because their main goalscoring threat, Marlon King, is ruled out for the year. I don't know if they have the pedigree to stay in the league. Plus, with rumors of them cashing in on Ashley Young in the January window, I think Watford will make a valiant effort to stay up but fall short - maybe close to 25 points.

Next up, I'd have to say Sheffield United. Anytime you have trouble scoring goals and piecing passes together, you will have a torrid time trying to stay afloat. They have shown that they can nick out wins, most notably a 1-0 at St. James Park v. Newcastle. Still, over the course of 38 games, I don't know if anyone on that team is capable of consistently hitting the goals. If a frontman like Rob Hulse goes down with injury, who's going to step up? I'd say Sheffield United will fight tough, but will have a tough time as well...maybe 30-32 points.

Last pick I'd say is a toss-up between Charlton, Blackburn Rovers (yes I'm serious) and Middlesbrough. Charlton are in the gravest danger as they've been rooted to the bottom of the table and there has been signs of unrest so far this term. They also seem to lack cutting edge, with the exception of Darren Bent, and there's only so much that Scott Carson can do. That said, I'm not ready to condemn them. I think Blackburn might be in trouble, especially if they sell Lucas Neill. That and they've also found it tough to establish a rhythm this term. Their strikers don't seem very confident in front of goal, and like a few of the clubs in trouble, I can only see 1 source for their goals - Benni McCarthy. If something should happen to him, I think Blackburn could be in serious jeopardy of the drop. Lastly, Middlesbrough - inexperienced coach, lack of cutting edge talent, and inability to create goal scoring chances. I think their saving grace is their ability to occasionally play out of their skin, i.e. the home win v. Chelsea, home draw v. Liverpool, away draw v. Arsenal. If only they could reproduce those performances more consistently...

There ya have it.
