Every month just before my period I get sick. I normally get a cold or flu. This month I was so tired and ached all over I could barely move. The doctors have suggested taking multi vitamins, I am currently taking liver cleansing tablets which the natropath suggested but still to no avail. I really need some help. I can't tell you how annoying this is. Like other women I also get really hot and sweaty and have some weird dreams. Does any one have any suggestions that can help?

First off, I think you should stop taking the liver cleansers. Their mostly associated with people trying to pass or prevent stones/stone formation. If you are in fact trying to pass stones then you should stop reading this right now. :O)
Before your body purges (loss of blood during your cycle), hormones are released in your body. They cause a number of different things to happen as well as invoking a number of different feelings and moods. The blood released in your menstral cycle is seperated from the 5L standard amount of blood in your body. From this we have, mild dehydration, mild to servere iron deficancy and a drop within your immune system's defensive capabilities seeing as how more white blood cells are withheld from your system. The loss of iron might be the root of your unrest. While you might be dehydrated, the fibers within your muscles have less lubrication during actin and myosin's stimulation (shortening and contraction of muscles). This causes fibers to break and the result is muscle pain. Your defense might just be lower then the average females immunal capabilities causing consistant sickness. If your doctor test your blood cell counts while you are not nearing or engaged in your period, something could be missed. I think you should take an iron pill and drink more water. Not an ungodly amount of water, just more water in general. The cleansers might be causing your body to purge things it shouldn't or doesn't need to be releasing. Being overweight, having an STD, asthma, smoking or even mild depression can add or create these symptoms as well and given I don't know your medical history, I can't be sure that anything that I tell you will work. Get a second opinion from a doctor you haven't seen before. Small practice doctors tend to be more mindful and follow up more often then PCF's at medical centers or hospitals. Hormones cause the weird dreams unless your dreaming of me because thats just pure lust!! (Joking :O) hahaha)
Try the iron tabs. They might not fully cut back on your colds but I think it might help your feeling tired. A little more exercise helps as well to strengthen your immune system and muscles. Also, drink juices with a large concentrated (I don't mean a drink thats "from or not from concentrate) dosage of Vitamin C to boost your immune system before your period. Not to much though, you should see what 500% the daily recommended value of Vit-C does to a frogs heart. LoL. Good luck to you, hope the info helps a little. Sorry if its to much also :O).

Your cycle will change from when you first acquired it like yours has considering that November 2010. Throwing up is fairly tough in your enamel, and discomfort killers are tough to your belly so that is undoubtedly some thing that desires to be fixed. Have you ever talked to your mom or physician about his? My bet is that your health care provider will propose putting you on start manipulate. This may increasingly make your periods shorter and not more extreme. I had horrible pain and bleeding and now that i am on delivery manipulate (given that I used to be 16) it has transformed my existence. It's fully natural what you're feeling however can also be constant via birth manipulate drugs.

Personally, I would see a different doctor. I know of getting crampy and feeling tired. But to actually get a cold or flu every month is not good. I would tell the doc to give you a total check up. Your body may be lacking something.
good luck!
