~ Well, there's a really good free program from Emisoft designed to specifically rid you computer of trojans and worms etc; it's called A-squared. I use it as part of my anti-malware arsenal.

From their site:
" Security must not be a privilege. Under this motto, Emsi Software provides the Malware scanner a-squared Free completely free of charge for private use.
But it is not a limited version, it is a full tool to clean your computer from Malware. Not only Spywares, as detected by classic Anti-Spyware programs, but also especially Trojans, Backdoors, Worms, Dialers, Keyloggers and a lot of other destructive pests, which makes it dangerous to surf the web."

Check it out here:

~ My anti-malware lineup is as follows:

Router firewall, plus Windows firewall

F-Secure anti-virus ( The makers of the Blacklight rootkit detector.)

Ewido:

SpywareBlaster from javacool:

Spybot Search & Destroy

One of the best tips I can give you, is to make sure whatever programs you choose, ( and there are lots of good free ones available) are Updated Regularly and use the scans on a regular basis.

Happy and safe computing!

AVG does a free antivirus program and a free antispyware program. both are excellent and you should get them.
a firewall is recommended too, I use ZoneAlarm.

Dont go searching for "free antivirus software" or anything else because there are a LOT of rogue programs out there that pretend to be antiviruses and actually are malware themselves.

question: is this window from windows defender or from a third party pop up. If its from windows defender you need an anti-virus softwars FAST or else you will need to "redo" your computer from the ground up and in the process erasing all your files. If its from a third party you have spyware and adaware personal se should take care of it. happy computing!!!
