I'll have to agree---lack of a proper upbrining. Yes, some kids raised in a good environment can end up as bad seeds, and many kids raised in bad environments turn into really fine human beings---but as a general rule....You raise your kids without any real grounding--or mostly, leave them to raise themselves--you end up with the Carters.

I know the carter family has done some bad stuff but there great people who have been through alot.Nick brought them all back together.I think no matter where they are in there lives they will always be in each others lives.I think they act they way they do because of what they have been through.They are all just trying to sort out there feelings and become a family again.They have been through soooooo much.Aaron got in a surfing accident, nick was missing for a little while.I don't remember the girls names.But one wants to become the second best chef in the world.The second one wants to become a model.The third one wants to sing.Nick is singing and so is nick.So the whole family has a bright future ahead.I wish them all the best and hope they have greater years to come.May whatever they do make them happy and may they become a stronger family.Best wishes.
